Advancing Food Innovation Through International Collaboration with Top 2% Scientist Dr. Mahsa Majzoobi
On 26 May 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, together with the executive team, warmly welcomed Dr. Mahsa Majzoobi from RMIT University, Australia. Dr. Majzoobi is an internationally recognized researcher and has been listed among the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide. She visited the Faculty of Agro-Industry as a distinguished guest speaker for the special seminar entitled “Starch Modification Technologies: From Lab Discovery to Industry Solutions,” held at Meeting Room 4, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University.
The seminar attracted faculty members, researchers, students, and participants interested in food science and technology. Dr. Majzoobi shared recent advances in starch modification technologies, innovations in health-oriented food products, and the development of sustainable biobased materials. Her presentation highlighted how fundamental research can be translated into practical technologies and innovative solutions for industrial applications.
The event also served as an important platform for knowledge exchange and academic discussion among researchers from Thailand and abroad. It provided valuable opportunities to explore future research collaborations, strengthen international academic networks, and enhance research and innovation capabilities within the Faculty of Agro-Industry.
Dr. Majzoobi’s visit represents another significant step in strengthening academic and research collaboration between Chiang Mai University and RMIT University, particularly in the areas of food science, food innovation, and sustainable development. The partnership is expected to create future opportunities for joint research, academic exchange, and international cooperation that will benefit both institutions and the wider community.
