วันที่ 10 เมษายน  2568 คณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่  ได้ลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ (MOU) ร่วมกับคณะวิศวกรรมและอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ยุทธนา พิมลศิริผล คณบดีคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.กาญจนา นาคประสม คณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมและอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ เป็นตัวแทนลงนามจากทั้งสองฝ่าย พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และผู้เกี่ยวข้องจากทั้งสองหน่วยงานร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานพิธีลงนามในครั้งนี้

การลงนามความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการบริหารความเสี่ยงเชิงระบบระหว่างสองหน่วยงาน ที่จะช่วยหนุนเสริมความพร้อมในการรับมือกับสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉินด้านการศึกษาที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อการเรียนการสอนภายในคณะ ซึ่งความร่วมมือนี้จะเปิดโอกาสให้มีสถานที่สำรองในการจัดการเรียนรู้ โดยเฉพาะในภาคปฏิบัติการ เพื่อให้การเรียนการสอนยังคงดำเนินไปได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง มีประสิทธิภาพ และไม่สะดุด แม้ในช่วงเวลาที่คาดไม่ถึง อีกทั้งยังเป็นความร่วมมือเพื่อส่งเสริมการวิจัยและบริการวิชาการด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีอาหาร รวมถึงการพัฒนานวัตกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับผลิตผลเกษตร อันจะนำไปสู่การต่อยอดองค์ความรู้และการประยุกต์ใช้ในภาคอุตสาหกรรมต่อไป

นอกจากนี้ คณะผู้บริหารจากคณะวิศวกรรมและอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ ยังได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมการดำเนินงานของศูนย์นวัตกรรมอาหารและบรรจุภัณฑ์ (FIN) และห้องเรียน ห้องปฏิบัติการ รวมถึงโรงงานต้นแบบ และอาคาร CMU BIOPOLIS 

On April 10, 2025, the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for academic cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering and Agro-Industry, Maejo University. The MOU was signed by Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and Assistant Professor Dr.Kanjana Narkprasom, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Agro-Industry, Maejo University. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by administrators, faculty members, and relevant personnel from both institutions.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding is a part of a systematic risk management strategy between the two institutions. It aims to strengthen preparedness in responding to emergency situations that may disrupt academic operations within the faculty. This collaboration provides an opportunity for the use of alternative learning facilities—particularly for laboratory and practical courses—ensuring that teaching and learning can continue seamlessly, efficiently, and without interruption, even in unforeseen circumstances.

Moreover, this partnership also aims to promote collaborative research and academic services in the fields of food science and technology, as well as the development of innovations related to agricultural products, which will contribute to knowledge expansion and its practical application in the agro-industrial sector.

In addition, the executive team from the Faculty of Engineering and Agro-Industry, Maejo University, visited the operations of the Food Innovation and Packaging Center (FIN), as well as toured classrooms, laboratories, pilot plants, and the CMU BIOPOLIS building.
