คณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และ บริษัท ซันสวีท จำกัด (มหาชน) ได้ลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ (MOU) เมื่อวันที่ 2 พฤษภาคม 2568 เพื่อร่วมกันส่งเสริมการศึกษาวิจัยและพัฒนาธุรกิจด้านอุตสาหกรรมอาหารอย่างยั่งยืน

พิธีลงนามดังกล่าวจัดขึ้น ณ คณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ยุทธนา พิมลศิริผล คณบดีคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และ ดร.องอาจ กิตติคุณชัย ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร พร้อมด้วย นางสาวมรกต กิตติคุณชัย รองประธานกรรมการ บริษัท ซันสวีท จำกัด (มหาชน) เป็นผู้แทนลงนาม พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และผู้เกี่ยวข้องจากทั้งสองหน่วยงานร่วมเป็นสักขีพยาน

ความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้มีเป้าหมายหลักในการส่งเสริมงานวิจัยเพื่อพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีและผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่ ๆ รวมถึงการพัฒนาธุรกิจในหลากหลายด้าน อาทิ การพัฒนาและปรับปรุงกระบวนการผลิต การประเมินอายุการเก็บรักษา และนวัตกรรมอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอาหารและบรรจุภัณฑ์ โดยมุ่งเน้นการนำเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมมาประยุกต์ใช้ในอุตสาหกรรมอาหาร นอกจากนี้ MOU ฉบับนี้ยังครอบคลุมถึงการสนับสนุนด้านการศึกษาของนักศึกษาคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ในด้านการเรียนการสอน งานสหกิจศึกษา การศึกษาดูงาน และการฝึกงาน เพื่อเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์และพัฒนาศักยภาพของนักศึกษาให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของภาคอุตสาหกรรม
ภายหลังพิธีลงนาม คณะผู้บริหารจากบริษัท ซันสวีท จำกัด (มหาชน) ได้เยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติการ โรงงานต้นแบบ และอาคาร CMU BIOPOLIS เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมด้านงานวิจัยและเพิ่มศักยภาพการพัฒนาของคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร และ บริษัท ซันสวีท จำกัด (มหาชน)

การร่วมมือระหว่างคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และ บริษัท ซันสวีท จำกัด (มหาชน) ในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการยกระดับงานวิจัยและพัฒนาธุรกิจด้านอาหารของประเทศให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน และตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นของคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิจัยที่สามารถตอบสนองต่อความเปลี่ยนแปลงและความต้องการของภาคอุตสาหกรรมอาหารในยุคปัจจุบัน


Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Agro-Industry Joins Forces with Sunsweet Public Company Limited in MOU to Elevate Food Industry Research and Development

The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and Sunsweet Public Company Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 2, 2025, to collaboratively promote academic research and sustainable business development within the food industry.

The signing ceremony took place at the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University. Representing the two parties were Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and Dr. Ongart Kittikhunchai, Director, along with Ms. Morakot Kittikhunchai, Vice Chairman of Sunsweet Public Company Limited. Executives, faculty members, and relevant personnel from both organizations attended the ceremony as witnesses.

The primary objectives of this collaboration are to foster research for the development of new technologies and products, as well as to advance business in various aspects. These include enhancing and refining production processes, evaluating shelf life, and exploring other food and packaging-related innovations through the application of technology and innovation in the food industry.
Furthermore, the MOU encompasses support for the education of students in the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, in areas such as teaching and learning, cooperative education programs, study visits, and internships. This aims to enrich students' experiences and cultivate their potential to meet the demands of the industrial sector.
Following the signing, the executive team from Sunsweet Public Company Limited toured the laboratories, pilot plant, and CMU BIOPOLIS building. This visit served to assess the research capabilities and enhance the development potential of both the Faculty of Agro-Industry and Sunsweet Public Company Limited.

This partnership between the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and Sunsweet Public Company Limited marks a significant step towards elevating the research and development of the country's food industry for sustainable growth. It also reinforces Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Agro-Industry's commitment to producing research that effectively addresses the evolving landscape and needs of the food industry in the modern era.
